It's podcast time once again as the three IWIWAG wags review the new French legion at Newcastle United through the lens of Saturday's encouraging performance-slash-discouraging result against Spurs at White Hart Lane. We let out a big Yoan, get mushy about Debuchy, and discuss the best use-a for Moussa. In a rare piece of audio footage destined for historical archives, Matt Feltz takes the non-Perch side of a debate. Plus Newcastle's answer to the musical question, who needs Yaya Touré? Newcastle United News 24/7
Sissisko was poor Parker had him in his pocket the whole game

And greetings back at you, Spurs fans.

I felt like Spurs came into that game ready for a fist fight and played a little harder. Parker especially in the middle was getting under the skin of Newcastle players with some niggly tackles and late hits.
Apart from obviously Bale being the difference for Spurs, Newcastle just wasn't as physical and that's something with our players we need to make a priority!

I love the sign-off noise at the end of each podcast. Think we will get by Metalist and hopefully get a more exciting club next if we do advance like an Inter, Ajax, or Napoli.

I think you have to admit cabaye should of got a straight red card for the tackle on dembele , he has done this before very lucky to stay on the pitch. Pity he can be ok some weeks

There have been entirely too many "studs to feet/ankle/shin/leg/heel" tackles both by our lads and the other teams. Literally every match I've seen this year has 2-5 of these incidents. I would say about 90% of them are simply cases of two players stepping in at the same time with no ill-intent. Still, the Laws of the Game are clear and punishment should be meted out.
That said, if a ref truly called all those tackes as bookable offenses, or a sending off offense, we'd be down to 9 v 8 in about half the games I've seen this season.
I don't have an answer, but Cabaye avoiding his Red cosmically makes up for Tiote's Red v. Sunderland. That's my irrational rationlization.

I piss on Scott Parker, most overrated player in the entire sport.
