A major reason we started this blog is to help Newcastle United fans in North America find and interact with one another. In that spirit, we offer Toon Platoons - a reader-generated listing of pubs in the U.S. and Canada where NUFC fans are known to gather for games, and of local fan clubs catering to the Toon Army.
The list is below. To add to the list, e-mail [email protected]. We'll move your additions to the main post as they come in. Feel free to add any information about your club or gathering place that might be of interest to fellow Toon supporters. This list is reader-updated and not regularly vetted by the editors, so it's a good idea to contact before arrival to make sure pubs are still open and Toon-conscious.

Houston, Texas soccer bars:
http://www.worldsoccerbars.com/houston-soccer-bars/
The best is probably The Richmond Arms, its like a real English Pub, their website has a list of games that they are showing, not biased to Newcastle but games are shown.

The Lion and Eagle in Boca Raton Fl. is where me and my mates go to watch a match. The Fox and Hounds is another in the Fort Lauderdale area.

The DC Mags meet up at Ireland's Four Courts in Arlington VA. http://www.irelandsfourcourts.com/
Good food and great staff. They have all the televised games and occasionally open early just for us. Anywhere from 5-20+ Mags for weekend games.

Thanks, everyone. Keep 'em coming.

Hello fellow TOON fans.
My name is Billy Costine from a city called Waterford in southern Ireland. I have just recently released my autobiographical called 'The Flight of a Magpie'. Basically it's about my life story and my 50 years of following the TOON since the 1961-62 season. It's a passionate, honest, unique and totally true story.I can elaborate more on my life and the story if someone can tell me where space would allow me to send. The book is selling at £15 Euro and can be bought on the following web site ... www.bookshop.kennys.ie

Fado Irish Pub in Columbus Ohio always has a good group of Newcastle fans for the matches.

A good pub to watch the Toon in Denver, CO is the Three Lions pub the owner John Forget is a friend of mine and he's a Gooner fan, but he shows all the Premiership matches and loves futbol in general. The food is excellent and they have lots of good beer on tap. The pub has plenty of flat screen TV's and they open early on the weekends for breakfast and all of the live matches. It's the best pub in Denver to watch the beautiful game and the Magpies without question. I have friends from London and they comment on how great a pub is to watch the game we love so much.

Thanks guys. We've added Columbus and Denver to the list.

Please add Brewhouse Cafe in Little Five Points in Atlanta, GA to the list. We're a small group, usually 4-5, but are here fairly often for games!

Lots of good soccer bars in St. Louis, but I've yet to run into any fellow Toon supporters at any of them. Where are you lads?
Posted by: STL Mag | 02/03/2012 at 03:30 PM
The three lions in Denver is not a Newcastle Pub, it's got all kinds of teams stuff hanging on the walls - actually didn't see anything Newcastle related. Is there anything in San Francisco?

Any Canadian Mags know where best to watch the lads in Toronto? I will be in Toronto early November and need somewhere to watch our match at Liverpool on the 4th. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Jeff. An NUFC fan/reader in Toronto suggests Scallywag's at Yonge and St. Clair: "Always full of Brits for the footie... It's home to the LFC supporters club but they are a good bunch of lads. Plenty craik between all." Let us know how it goes!
