You've asked for it, literally and figuratively. Now we've gone and done it. I Wish I Was A Geordie is on the air with our very first podcast. Thrill to the sound of real-time opinions and analysis about "soccer" in our unedited, distinctly non-English voices. In the wake of Newcastle United's Europe hopes glancing off Andy Carroll's head to within four points of reality, this first installment includes a forecast of the season's climax (note that we predicted top five for Newcastle in *September*), a capsule psychoanalysis of Demba Ba, and a surreal vision of Perchinho's potential future. Click below to listen, and watch the blog for more information on future episodes, including special guests and how to subscribe to the podcast on iTunes. Howay.
Whoa whoa whoa it actually happened!

Yesterdays goal by Carroll was his greatest for the Newcastle cause. One even wonders that he possibly knew that if he managed to score, that he was doing us such a massive favour. What we should never forget is that this guy was and still is a Newcastle Nut. As a Geordie, it is possible to fall out with Newcastle as a city and even as a place to live and work, but I'll bet you anything you like, that no Geordie ever changed their favour to another club other than as a second team.
Bless you Big Man, HWTL.

Once you get past the accent ("n'youcastle" not "noocastle" chaps!) it's all good stuff! More of this would be awesome.

Consider the accent part of our international flavor. Or flavour, as the case may be.

heh the pronunciation was amusing, a bit like listening to 'arry redknapp (which is never amusing).
Glad you've got around to doing this. If it's anywhere near as good as your blog posts we're all on to a winner!

Very good point was 'This is a very un-Newcastle like team' very true. I also love that the Andy Carroll goal was his biggest for the Newcastle however the irony was he was looking the other way and it bounced off the back of his head. Well worth 35 million ;) I wouldn't say he's going on any tear as that goal was so lucky.
I also agree that playing the relegation battling teams at the end of the season is harder than playing mid level teams with nothing to play for. The Premier League games at the end of the season are really tilted towards teams that do and don't have anything to play for. Also when you play a team on their last home game of the season. Which is good for Newcastle against Man City - the place will be rocking!!
